Root My phone isn't booting...

I was installing [MOD][One Click Root] Clockwork Mod version 3.0.0.5/6 - UPDATED FOR EB13! - xda-developers this and when i got to step 9 i didn't know what to do...I don't know how to flash and my phone isn't booting when i start it...What do i do from here?

1)download that zip in step 9
2)put in the root(base) of the SD card(not in any folders)
3)hold volumedown and the power button with the phone off.
4)scroll to recovery and select
5)wipe cache and dalvik cache
6)back
7)choose install zip from sd card
8)choose zip from sd card

You might also need to flash a ROM, I didn't root the same way, and I'm not 100% sure if the stock ROM is odexed or not.

same thing as flashing a kernel, but with a ROM...

^^ definitely read that, that's what I followed rooting my phone...

does volumedown and power bring you into recovery?

Means installing a rom using cwm, instead of using a program on your computer it is done in recovery.

The instructions didn't say to have a ROM installed on the SD card prior to booting in clockwork 3.0.

I don't have a ROM on my SD card and i can't boot anything...Looks like the phone is bricked, lol. Unless i get an SD card with the information on it...Wanna give me a call and help? lol

Ok, have you tried the bootloader > keyboard open press and hold the #1 key and the power key both. Or recovery > volume down+camera then power last, hold them all down. Let me know if either works.

Thanks a ton Kelmar! Really cool guy and he knows his stuff. I would have had a hard time doing all of that myself..Not only that, he found out my cable was bad...
