My phone wont charge or connect to laptop

Anyone help?

My phone wont charge when I connect it to a mains charger. I've tried using various chargers but no joy. Also it wouldn't connect to my laptop. Again I've tried various usb cables. The only way I'm able to charge it is using my samsung docking station.

I've tried it using both my official samsung battery and a third party one I have but no joy.

Anyone had similar problems?

ps. I have kies installed, although it would only recognize my phone the odd time.

Your micro USB jack may be dirty -- clean it very gently using a soft dry toothbrush and some canned air.

Thanks mate. I gave it a wee clean out by blowing in it. Seems to have done the trick for now.
