Root My ROM flashing issue....help!??!

Last night, I rooted my phone, following the various step by step guides.

Phone is rooted (ninja is there), ROMs downloaded (originally leedroid), titanium loaded and backup created, phone restarted in recovery mode, back up created, wiped data/reset, install from SDcard....

I messed with Rom manager....but am sort of confused on what I'm supposed to do with the partitioning or whatever?

mostly good up to that point.

I've tried to flash leedroid, defrost, gingervillan, and oxygen.....

leedroid and oxygen gave me "aborted installation" messages.

defrost and gingervillan would load, but would get me stuck on the HTC boot screen. the white screen with the green HTC.
I let them "load" for 20 mins each.......pulled the battery and restarted into recovery mode and restored my original stock rooted phone file.

At this point, I'm not sure what to do?
Am I missing a step or not understanding something fully?

without knowing the error messages in full, cant say a lot really.assume you checked your erase size if you read my faq?

Right, your problem is you have a CDMA desire and you're flashing GSM Roms. You have to use CDMA specific ones
