My screen is EXTREMELY hot right now!!

This is the first time this has happened. Its not in direct sunlight or nothing. I touched my face with it and it was equal to me touching a car after its been sitting in the sun for hours. Hope everything is ok. Imma take the battery out for a while

I did use GPS probaby bout 45 minutes ago but i didn't notice it then. Took the battery out for bout 10 minutes, installed it.... and its still pretty hot ...The funny thing is....The battery isnt that hot

Have you installed anything new recently? Odds are it's using processor power to stay live while screen is off.

I remember the Kindle app did that to my phone, So I cycle through a few apps when I am done using it just to get it off the "most recents".
