My Son's Tab 2 lost status bar, notification panel

Hi Guys
I have Samsung tab 2 7".....belongs to my Son, don't know what he did but now there is no Status bar nor notification panel, once you click an app you stuck there..you cant go back or go home......I tried everything.....called Samsung they could not determine what is the problem...then asked me to ship it... they want $100 to fix it ....then I tried the chat...they couldn't help either.....
the model is P3113, the firmware 4.2.2.......for the past 3 days I looked over the net could not find similar problem.....during that I came across these phrases: downgrade to 4.1.1, Odin3 v.07, Kies...etc
Oh...I did factory reset several times via settings and hard reset.......no luck

I solved this problem myself........I found a good guy on you tube has listed a link to download a clean and direct version of the firmware 4.2.2....no ads, no scam, no net crap...then all I did was installing it using Odin3

Just curious, did you figure out what caused the problem?

Yes...I asked my son what he did.....he went to Settings>>Application Manager>> and deleted an app called: System UI , once he did that the tab rebooted itself.
