Help My sync icon in the notification bar will not go away?

How do I get rid of it?

I was having the same problem and saw my solution over on Android Central Forums.

Not sure why this worked, but it did.

I had created an account in the WATCH app. I went and deleted the account in the settings and the Icon disappeared.

Hope this helps.

I was just coming on this board to post about this.

My sync icon wont go away either. I am going to try this solution and will report back.

Ok just tried it and that is definetly the fix.

Now the question is, is there anyway to watch the Greenhornet without a WATCh account?

I had that problem last night...I couldn't watch the Green Hornet last night either though. I left it 'sycning' through half the night and when I woke up for a few minutes I messed with it until I got it to stop (went into accounts and pressed Cancel Sync). I just tried the Green Hornet 3D movie again though and it worked :D

Mine did the same this morning. I just went to Settings -> Accounts & Sync and clicked the Cancel Sync down in the left corner. It then flagged which app was having trouble syncing. Then I just renabled the sync again and it synced correctly and the icon went away. My sync problem was with the Facebook app trying to sync to my contacts.

Yes canceling the Sync will work. However, everytime you reset or shut your phone off you will have to do this. I tried battery pulls, shutting phone off etc.... the only way to stop it was to cancel sync or delete your WATCH account.
