Help My Tracks Icon?

Hi all.

Just a quick question. When I was using my tracks for the 1st time yesterday I got a data connection symbol at the top that looked like a satellite dish / antenna. I've never had this one before and am wondering what it is.

I looked through the online manual but couldn't find it.

It goes away when I put my tracks to bed. What connection is that and can I be sure that it has stopped transmitting when it leaves the top icon bar?

Would be great for a bit of advice to put my mind at rest,

haha. It looks like a satellite for a reason

And yes, you can be sure that if the icon isn't there, the GPS isn't active and won't be draining your battery.
