Root My Triumph died

My Triumph has no phone service and VM is sending a Galaxy Reverb for replacement. I am rooted but running stock ROM. I have to send Triumph back to VM so if I do a factory re-set will that un-root the phone and everything go back to factory settings? Thanks for any help.

Since su is a system file, no. you'll have to delete /system/bin/su, /system/xbin/su, /system/bin/busybox, /system/xbin/busybox (ignore any files you don't have).

Also, if you used any rooted app to do anything to the phone, undo that before you remove root. Some of them are done in system areas and they'll survive a reset.

Thanks for your reply. I rooted using the sudo method. I have Titanium back up pro and ES file explorer. I changed the alog files to read only and still running stock rom. You are talking a little bit above my pay grade so forgive me for questions. I have backups from Titanium but have deleted all the bloatware. Where do I start?

Well the Triumph is working now. I just looked and there was a signal. What to do. New Galaxy Reverb coming and thinking if I want to give up my Triumph for the Reverb ,any comments welcomed.
