I'm currently on shevron 5.1 and it's not the rom because it happened when i was in starscrom too. I tried to make a call and it instantly drops don't know why though I can still receive calls, send texts, surf the web etc. the only problem is calling. I changed my prl so i could get better speed so maybe that was it. Ohh and the problem not every times but sometimes it comes and sometimes goes. can anybody help thanks in advance.

You said you changed your PRL, so change it back and see if that helps.

Changed it a while back because i thought that was the problem forgot to mention sorry and it is still giving me the problem thanks though.

Well, then this is what I would do:

Back up your phone with CWM, and then flash a known-working ROM (stock, or custom). See if you still have problems.

If you DO have problems then something is wrong with your phone, or a section of memory that is not touched by flashing (where is the PRL stored? Does the radio have it's own firmware, separate from the phone's internal memory?)

If you DON'T have problems, then we can start trying to single out the issue.

* Are you using the stock dialer?
* Can you thing of ANYTHING you did before the problem started occurring (even if you think it's irrelevant, sometimes it matters).
* Try deleting /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony.db

Are you saying this is an occasional or constant problem. This occasionally happens to me once a day every day or two. But I always thought it was related to something with the screwed up touch screen or the touch screen touching the edge of my ear or something.

all right I've figure it out it's not my phone nor the dialer nor the rom is in one place whenever is only one town that gave me the problem because every time i get out of there it works fine thank you all for helping.
