Help My Versizon Mobile App

This app is not working. Can I remove it? The app manager on the phone won't let me uninstall this app or force stop it. But it's not working. It keeps saying this service has failed/stopped working. I click on the app and it says an update is available. I install the update and it doesn't work and keeps telling me there is an update when I have it already. Can I install an uninstaller app and remove it forcefully?

From the looks of it, once you update the app, it starts to force close.

I found this thread on Android Central through Google and it solved the problem on my phone, so hopefully it'll work on yours.
