Root MyMetro

Shy of deleting it (which I'd rather NOT do until we have a reliable Recovery and ROM), how in the world can we stop MyMetro from CONSTANTLY starting and running in the background???
I've tried freezing it with Titanium Back Up Pro, Gemini, etc., but nothing can stop it... it's like it's bulletproof or something. lol
Anyone have any luck stopping/freezing this abomination?
(I'm rooted)

Install something like Root Explorer... Copy the APK and odex file(if any) and save it to SDcard.

Once you do that, just delete it. If you ever need it again just "reinstall it" and please the odex file in the same location as before.

Lol yes it's bulletproff, tried to freeze but doesn't worked, then moved it to another folder in SD card (like the other bloatware) with Root Explorer, other thing you can do is rename the extention, instead of *.apk you can change it to *.apk1

I kept the metro appstore but deleted all the other junk with the app store you can re install all the other metro apps if needed again but yes its safe to delete my metro it was the first to go once I rooted :-)

Good idea... now if I can remember where it went later if needed. lol
I think I will try that... in fact, all you guys have some good ideas there..

Thanks!
Thanks a lot! :D

Lol.. I have the same problem always forgetting where I saved my stuff then for remembering made a folder on SD and named: "UnistalledApps" and stored all my removed apps there.

Why didn't I think of that?

Mymetro is safe to delete off of the phone. I deleted all metro apps without having any negetive effects.

I'm glad to hear it... because I just got that processor/memory hog off my phone with titanium. lol (it did however, go kicking and screaming - requiring me to pull the battery for it's coup de gr

Yup. i also deleted every Metro app and my phone is not even jealous of that!!!! Well, then i wanted to try metro studio so i re-installed metroappstore to download apps ONLY I desire....
