Help Mystery notifications

Okay I really really really love my note 3 even more than my note 2 which says a lot . But for some reason it beeps or dingles as if notifying me of something. All I want to be notified about is texts and phone calls. Email I will look at. If there's an emergency don't use email to notify me. I check it a couple times a day. At any rate any clue what could be dingling me? It's driving me crazier than I already am.

I have noticed this on occasion as well. I seem to notice it shortly after I arrive home and less often shortly after I leave and am in my car. I think it's the phone saying it as connected or disconnected from my home wi-fi, although I'm not sure about that as I cannot find anything to turn this feature on or off. I'll be interested to see what others say.

I do on occasion get other unknown notification sounds and it usually ends up being some app notification that I didn't realize was activated - like a breaking news app or that type of thing.

System settings > accessibility >notification reminder...make sure it is toggled off...you will still get all your notification sounds for what you want...this is just for unchecked notifications in the pull down notification menu. This drove me nuts for 2 days...what a silly place to put setting...it should just be under notifications or sounds.

Also check to make sure there's no mystery app sending you notifications. You may have to view that apps in app manage & go thru them one by one to see if one you recently installed is causing this.

I had this problem too. Tracked it to my outlook.com app. Set notifications to silent in the app and my mystery notifications disappeared.

Yep....this drove me nuts a few months ago until I tracked it down to the accessibility Notification Reminder. It finally stopped after I selected OFF.
