Help mystery P... in corner when doing somthing

Hi first thread. first problem so far in almost a year of ownership.
RIGHT for some reason when ever this phone (GS2 on GB) goes back a menu or is between screens it displays this letter P in the left hand corner. its almost like a button.
its only started doing it today. no apps have been downloaded or updated it just all of a sudden was there!
The real pain is that its present in aps! Games or videos so what dose it mean? Has anykne else had the same thing or had something simular. i have hopfully attached a screen shot to aid with the explination.
Apprently not yet.

Seriously though, it might be a draft text message you did accidentally, someone had something like that only it was a <3

I went through my texts, and had no drafts. Did have a couple of failed ones, which I deleted, but the icon remains.

I also went through my emails. Had a couple of drafts. Deleted those. Icon remains.

Thanks for the thought though.

Another thought; have you installed any apps since this happened? I've installed Stick Cricket, Tune In Radio, Bank of Scotland Mobile Banking, LoveFilm, and Google Translate....have you installed any of those?
 
It is basically the user interface. It is what controls your home screens, what gets put on each home screen, your app drawer etc.

It may be worth trying Go Launcher.

Going by your response, I can assume you're on the stock TouchWiz (TW) Launcher, so if you dont feel up to changing launchers, then it may be worth trying to clear data for TWLauncher (menu>settings>applications>all>TW Launcher>Clear Data)

NOTE: This would mean you would have to set up all your homescreens from scratch again.

Appreciate the information. If no-one can work out what these symbols mean, then maybe I'll experiment with Go Launcher. The symbol is only a minor annoyance - doesn't actually appear to cause any problems.
 
Hi guys thankyou for such quick replys.
well just as soon as it came its gone! Ant got a clue. i think it might have had somthing to do with a live wall paper i had downloaded a while back. i activated it thru the app menu and not the wallpaper menu. I went through and cleaned it off and went through and stopped a load of stuff before restarting the phone and it seems to have gone... for now.
I figured it must have been a coding bug in the wallpaper. i hope this helps others who might get something like this

Nope just some live wallpapers. which i guess is an app lol
