Mystical camcorder issues. PLZ HELP!!!

I have rom'd my cell (Motorola Triumph-VM) a few times and am now having issues with the camcorder. My issue that when I record a video in 720p (or any other resolution) the "File Type" stays stuck in "3GPP" no matter what codec or format I set it to be. The file name/codec will change, but not the file type. It stared when I switched my rom to "Minimal Triumph"...now I switched back to "Froyocream" rom (fresh install) where the problem didn't exist, but now still does...no matter what rom I put on..so far. I have even tried other camera/camcorder apps. I just want to be able to view my videos on my PS3 when I connect my phone without having to convert them. It used to work fine, before this problem. Can someone please help me get this dealt with..it is really annoying. Thank You.

One last thing....can anyone tell why the videos are really blurry when there is any kinda movement and and quality is sub par? 720p HD seems more non-HD. 30fps should not be that bad. :fight::thrasher::banghead:

I'm pretty sure that most roms record video in 3gpp which is mobile format... you can get a converter that would convert it from 3gpp to say mp4 for your computer though.

And HD recording is blurry and such because it isn't 720p at 30FPS... maybe in ideal conditions it is like in direct sunlight outside with no cloud cover, but it is probably more like 720p @ 20fps if that because the camera sensor on the MT isn't that great.
