Mytouch 3g slide 2.2?

How do I put 2.2 on this thing? Can I download beta os leaked versions or do I need to just wait for it? Still very new please a little help or explanation? And the does root mean! Lol

Most likely you'll have to wait until your carrier puts out an official update. You may get lucky though and some pre-release versions will leak out and get posted. You'll have to install those at your own risk, though. Best place to find those would be in the MyTouch 3g Slide forum.

it shouldnt be long, t mobile is working on a ota, due out end of next month begenning of september even mytouch 3g users will get 2.2
