Thanks. I couldn't use the full poster, a little too busy. :D

I finally was successful in making a bootable SD that allowed me to reload the original firmware on my badly rooted NC. Now I want to make a bootable SD card that can load up android, the play store, etc., and leave the original firmware alone. This is going to be a gift for my brother, and I don't want to make it too difficult.

Here you go:

Here's a link to creating the card: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23153010#post23153010

Nightly builds of CM10 can be found here: CyanogenMod Downloads

These gApps should work: Techerrata Downloads - Downloading gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip

You should read the first link for instructions, but i believe all you need to do is create the card, DL the files, copy them to the card and boot off of it with your NC. The first boot will take at least 5 minutes so don't panic. :D

You want a Sandisk class 4 (or class 2) card for best performance. I'd use at least an 8 gb card, bigger if you plan to move some media (movies, music, pictures) to it.

Card will be flashed the same way as the one you just did, but using a different image and will be big enough for CM7 or CM10. (CM7 might be faster). Rom and gApps must be the same version, so don't use those gApps with a CM7 rom. :D

I'd use these files for CM7:
