Help N4 keeps shutting down...

I'm listening to streaming radio on my N4 and about every 30 secs the radio or phone shuts down.... I momentarily hit the power button and the radio comes back for another 30 secs of streaming ....Is there a setting I can change to keep it going.... Now when I play Pandora it stays on... no problems...

Seems to me the radio stops when your screen shuts off...are you using Wi-Fi..??

Are you streaming from a website or using an app?

As lion points out, it sounds as though the streaming cuts out when your screen shuts off.

If you change the screen time out to none in the display settings, does that fix it?

Go Settings/Wi-Fi, tap the three dot menu and tap Advanced. Check that *Keep W-Fi on during sleep* is set to *Always*.

Thx for all the replies..... I do have wifi active but not working when I do my morning walk.... The streaming radio is an app.... The battery is on at least 50% charge.... I solved the problem by going to phone settings/display/sleep/30mins.... there was no "always"... However, there has got to be a better way, as I now have to change it back each time to "1 min" and since my Pandora app doesn't have this problem.. I think there is some other setting that will do the same thing without having to go back each time to change my "sleep" time...It could be in the app itself... The app is "iheartradio" .......Cheers :)

Just changed over to TuneIn .. I set the sleep to 5 mins.... Streaming is still shutting down.... I do get a message now..Stream read error..... So there is something going on between the sleep time and the streaming buffering....I'm back at the house now with full signal on wifi... However, what do I know?.....Will give Tasker a shot.... Cheers.... :)
