NAND Backup?

I downloaded the two things I needed from an "all-things-root" to do a NAND backup, and I press Vol Up + Home + Power and release at the LG logo, but it boots the phone, not the NANDROID screen.

What am I doin' wrong?

Same thing happened to me. The reason for the failure was that I did not install the recovery program right. I did re-install and then it works. Installing that recovery program is a pain in the neck..lol.

How'd you do it? :o There's not much of a tutorial.

And I got it to bring up Andy and a box and a loading line under it; apparently it did a full recovery. Lost everything. Thanks, NAND-guys. :P

You did not install the recovery,
1.get flash image gui from the XDA forum (just Google "flash image gui xda" install the apk
2.put the recovery on your sd card
3. Go into the app, select the recovery, check the clear cache and dalvk cache options
4. Select flash image and wait for your phone to boot into recovery

I find this method easier and faster and it doesn't require command prompt :)
