Root NANDROID backup problem

I was going to do a NANDROID backup and got into clockwork etc.
I then scrolled to backup and reboot, or whatever it says, and pressed the power button.
My screen is a hat on a little arrow that appears to be going in circles, but not moving. Is this normal?

Hit the power button again, use the trackball to select choices, the power button is used to go back a menu or it brings up the screen you see.
