Root Nandroid duplicates?

I just realized that every time I make my nandroid backup, I have a new backup file (I'm seeing them listed by date). I only noticed this b/c I copied the clockworkmod to my computer.

Do I need all the backups I make?

Can/should I delete the old ones? If yes, how?

Is there a way to overwrite the old backup when I make a new nandroid?

TIA!

As far as I'm aware, there is no way to overwrite the old with the new. At first, I kept the old backups... but they are huge in size. So I just keep the latest one on my sd card and my very first (stock) on my computer. I delete the ones on the sd card through windows explorer.

Or you can use your file manager. If I remember right you have Andro Zip. Just long press on the file you want to delete and you'll get a popup window, then select delete.
