Is it ok to change the nandroid names? Cause I have some for GB and ics and it would make it easier than dates. Also should I do a system wipe and all that before restoring a backup?

Make sure there are no spaces, im pretty sure

You can change the folder name to what ever you want as long as there are no spaces, and I assume no special characters.

I do the same thing with wiping the Caches. Mainly just because I am paranoid like that. Also I have read that older versions of CWR did not always get everything on the first wipe, hence why you sometimes see a recommendation to wipe data 3 times. From what I have read anyway this has not been an issue since going above CWR 3 but still only takes a second and again I am just paranoid like that.

Also there are a few apps like Rom Manager that will let you re-name a Nandroid whatever you like and it will still pass the MD5 check.
