Root nandroid on a different evo

Can you use a nandroid from one evo on a different evo? Cause my evo stopped working and sprint will replace it. I nandroided and I unrooted, should it be safe or should just reload the rom from scratch? thanks

nope you cannot. you might be able to pull certain items from the nandroid, but for the most part, they are phone specific.
