Root nano droid back up question?

Ok i have installed icarus 1.1 using clockworkmod 2.XX.XX. I created a back up before i installed icarus and one after i installed it and downloaded all the apps and stuff. My question is how to i go about restoring the nano droid back up i created incase i mess up or something goes on in the future. i saved the back file to my computer and when i enter clockwork recovery and restore it says i have nothing on my phone. do i need to put the file on the sd card and then search for it? if thats the case does the file need to be ziped because the back up that was created was not ziped. and can i changed the back up's name to icarus 1.1 backup for example?

If you did the Nandroid backup, then whatever format it was in originally is what format you want to keep it in. Load it back onto the root of your SD card, then follow the instructions in the post above. The phone doesn't matter, as the CWM instructions are the same.

cool stuff thanks dude, do you have a link where i can read up on seeing if my apps are saving to my sd card?
