Anyone know how to download the NASCAR app on a rooted hero? Tech support said hard reset (default answer for everything). When trying to download from phone and from computer to sync, says that the device is not supported even though hero is listed in the supported devices.
What ROM are you using? There are ways to get the Sprint apps back onto custom ROMs, but it helps to know what you are running.

Why are you trying to Sync?
Mount your SDCard and copy the .apk to it then attempt to open the .apk with an app like Root Explorer and it should give the the "install" option

That is why I was asking for some preliminary information. I like to know what I am dealing with before I tell him what to do.
He was trying HTC Sync because it can technically push apps to the handset. However, it will not if he is running a custom ROM of course.

I am also looking for some ideas how to download that NASCAR apps. Because I like to play that game.
