Help NAT Netfilter support and Iptables Binary

giubari

Newbie
Hi, I tried some apps that need this kind of support from the ROM's Kernel, i'm actually using TIM 4E, do you know if there is an older or another version that is NAT Netfilter or Iptables compatible.

I really would like to use many apps like Faceniff.

Please let me know..

P.s. Where is Tim? I'm not hearing about him since more than a month.

i found there is application on the market can download the iptables ...am not sure about NAT Netfilter ..... it's called VPN installing .. you can determine the directory of the installing .. best wishes

Hi G,

I am using s0I's firmware and the iptables binary is included. Typing iptables -L (or iptables --list) at the command line will dump the current configuration which can be redirected to a file if required...

Perfect! Great News!
I just need to backup all the stuff now and try it!

Edit: Bad News, tried that firmware no iptables at all, Faceniff is not working and if i try to use another iptables-using program it gives me this error "Iptables 1.4.1.0: can't initialize iptables table "filter": Table does not exist (do you need insmod?) Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded.

Edit2: If i make with Gscript a custom script and make Iptables -L this is the error message:

stderr: iptables v.1.3.7: can't initialize iptables table "filter": iptables who? (do you need to insmod?)
stderr: Perhaps iptables or you kernel need to be upgraded.

Apologies for the delay, it would appear we have the same version, just to be certain here are the md5sums of the files:

I will try and look into this further later, I don't have my tablet with me right now.
