Nationwide data outage

A birdy told me the last 4g outage was due to a pretty complex hacking that basically changed all the routing for each tower.

We shall see what this one was.
 
I never noticed if it went off earlier but I have 4G LTE on my Bionic in LA right now.
Everything seems to be normal.
I drive around a lot during the day and it continually drops out.
But at home I'm fine.

I'm sorry........I didn't mean for you to try those steps......those were the steps that I took trying to resolve my lack of 4G problem......in the end I had to just wait it out.....
 
Getting really old now. This POS seems to never have data service. The whole week has been that way for me.

No worries ...I just felt like trying it too and share my results.

All is still good in So Fla since 4G returned last night :)
 
yesterday I had no 3G or 4G on my bionic. My gf has the DInc2 and her 3G was fine while mine was completely out. Phones were next to each other on the table.
 
Nothing here in Elizabeth, NJ. I wonder if we will be justly "compensated" because of the lack of access we are getting right now...but still paying for! Even unlimited data for a month would be nice! Or better yet...since we have such issues with the long delayed Bionic...how about an unlimited data offer for ALL Bionic owners? That would make everything square with me!

I think the outage affected only 4G enabled phones. What I've been reading online is that 3G phones were unaffected while 4G phones were going up and down. Sucks for us. I'm gonna have to point to the problem as something to do with the SIM on VZW's side. As pointed out 3G phones which require no SIM weren't affected while 4G phones with the SIMs had 3G and 4G problems. I doubt that 3G on both phones run off different frequencies so they all use the same frequency on the tower to get data. This is all theory as I am no expert on this. This could be a result in someone tampering with the server that SIM authentication as it was reported that the last outage was a result of someone rerouting the tower configuration. Who knows, cause i doubt VZW is gonna release that info. I'm up and running as of yesterday and still running 3G. Hope everyone else is getting their data back.
 
When you next experience a data drop, call *611 from your phone - if it is a known data outage, you'll hear a voice recording stating so - yesterday I did that and the voice recording stated something to the effect of "We're already aware that there is an issue in your area that is affecting 4G devices."
 
I only have 3G here in SW Ohio.

Thought my luck had run dry with the Bionic as well until I read here.
 
i have 1 to 2 bars here in athens tx and thats only 20% of the time im searching for signal the other 80% going on 3 months now with boost/sprint towers
