Help Native messenger app won't open

I just got my Warp a couple of days ago - everything was fine & I had transferred all of my apps, etc from my old phone, including my Handcent acct. I sent an mms thru Handcent yesterday & it went fine, but when I tried this morning it wouldn't work. Regular sms work fine. I tried to open the native messenger app, but it won't open, & when I'm in Handcent I get constant messages that Messenger has force closed. I tried uninstalling the updates & even tried reinstalling the app by moving the apk to my sd card - no go. Phone is not rooted, & I'm not that experienced to be comfortable with it. just need to know how to fix this so I can send mms again. Help???

Have you tried fully uninstalling Handcent, rebooting, then testing the stock messaging app?
If that goes ok, try doing a completely fresh-from-the-market installation of Handcent.

Tried just now. When I click on the messenger icon, it opens the screen, but immediately pops up with 'Sorry! The applicatoion Messaging (process com.android.mms) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.' with Force Close button underneath. Any other suggestions?

I went just put Handcent back on again, went thru and deleted all the mms and the sms that I had asked for delivery reports on, and voila, the problem is fixed. Weird. Thanks to mrsboots for the quick reply - it started me on the right track.
