I think it was the Liberty ROM, that had a screenshot as one of the power button options. I am now running Purity's ICS ROM and was very disappointed to see that the screenshot option was no longer there. Is there any way someone could put that feature into a flashable ROM as an add on?

I'm not sure about modding your ROM, but there are screenshot apps in the market that should do the trick.

It would be a plus if one could customize the power widgets to one's preferences. I only utilise two of the buttons and could add a few one touch options, such as screen shots.

ScreenShot It is perfect! The regular app, Trial and paid, works on the Bionic, rooted or not. It was the same for the LG Revolution. It has several options to initiate a screenshot, my favorite being the notification bar pull down.

dropcap2 is for rooted phones but has been out since the OG Droid and its the only screenshot app I use. It has the option of pulldown, shake, or timer. I use the pulldown option as well.

I've been using the "Screen Grabber" app from the Android market. Works flawlessly with or without root. I was using it with no problems before I rooted too.
