Apps Native vs Hybrid app development

Hi there,

I'm a total app novice but have a quick question - my company is developing an app to support a health monitoring device, with data transferring to the app from the device via BLE.

There's an open question here about whether it's best to go with native app development or use a hybrid tool like Cordova - anyone have any experiences of this?

Thanks

What all features does your app need? Do you need cross platform support for the same app? I know as a new developer native has a very high learning curve, and many of the hybrid tools make the learning curve much less.
Once you have the data, what needs to be done with it?
