Help Navigation

I'm not sure that I am not repeating myself. If so, sorry. When I had my Eris, I had google navigation available for free. With my TB, it appears I can only get navigation through VZ Navigator at a price. Am I missing something?

I have yet to try using it on my Thunderbolt, but there are two different apps. "VZ Navigator" and "Navigation" - "Navigation" is the google one.

You still have google navigation. Open app drawer, go to navigation (it's a blue arrow icon pointing up).

Does anyone know how to keep VZ Navigator from constantly running? I never open or use the ap but every time I open advanced task killer it seems like vz navigator is running.

If you're rooted, you could also use Titanium Backup to "freeze" programs, then they won't automatically open in the background until you "defrost" them. That's the only way I know of.

make sure you aren't paying monthly for VZ Navigator. As long as you aren't paying monthly for it it can't do anything. See VZ Navigator is not a free service so as long as you aren't paying no harm no foul really.
