Help NBCNews.com links not working

nickp001

Newbie
I'm running the 2.5 jbsourcery ROM on my Verizon GN. When I go to NBCNews.com and attempt to click on a link, nothing happens. I've tried this with the stock browser and with Chrome, with the mobile site and with the full desktop site, but not luck. I believe this has been happening ever since installing Jelly Bean. Is anybody else having this problem? Any suggestions on correcting the problem?

Do you have any ad blocking apps installed?

Thanks for the reply. No, I don't have any ad blocking apps. I just upgraded to JBSourcery 3.0, completely wiping my system and I still have the problem. It's driving me nuts. I can go to the desktop site, long press and open in a new tab, but otherwise I can't get the hyperlinks to function. It seems to happen only on this website.

I was having the same problem last month. Exact same behavior. See this post: http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-nexus/616745-strange-behavior-mobile-web-sites.html

Maybe if you delete the hosts file.

Yep, deleted and rebooted. I appreciate the help though. After reading your thread, I though for sure it was going to work.

Just for poops and grins, look again and see if the hosts file was recreated and delete it again then immediately reboot.
