NCAA Men's Basketball 2024

My Memphis Tigers lost, but honestly not surprised. One of our best players was out injured and our other main scorer didn't do squat. Penny Hardaway is now 0-3 in the NCAA tournament as a coach, gotta fix this.

It's a lot of basketball even if you are a big fan of the sport. Rooting for your picks help but isn't like rooting for a team you follow. My teams either didn't make the tourney or was bounced in the first round.

I lost that OU game. That put me back tied with my son with 25 correct picks out of 32. My daughter is still killing us. She has 29 correct picks so far. It doesn't seem fair. :)

There was a good game between 12th ranked Colorado State and 4th ranked Maryland tonight. I had Maryland picked but couldn't help but root for CSU. Colorado sunk a three to go ahead by one leaving less than four seconds for Maryland to sink a two point buzzer beater to win. It was the best game I've seen so far this tourney.

After the first week of madness I only managed 36 correct picks out of the 48 games played. My son and I are still tied and my daughter is still up four games on us. I have the highest potential points moving forward which means nothing. I'm in 134,938th place on Yahoo... I'm killing it. :)

With Texas Tech winning in overtime tonight, I moved into a tie with my daughter for first place in our family brackets. Everyone picked three games right but I lucked out all four of them. I have the potential to have tomorrow's games correctly picked. Potential doesn't equate to likely. I don't think I've ever had all eight in the elite eight round so I'm certainly not expecting it this year.

That's a first for me. I have all of the elite eight picked correctly. I'll feel down right elated if I have the final four picked right. I just don't see it happening. There aren't any lucky teams playing now. They are all good teams and well coached. Any team could win their way to the finals now.

As luck would have it, I did pick the final four correctly. All the number one seeds are in the final four. I think it's only happened once back when Kansas beat Memphis for the title in 2008. My lucky ducky bracket is in 674,364th place on ESPN with over 24 million brackets and 5,486th place on Yahoo out of who knows brackets... far less than ESPN. That is just how lucky I've been this year.

I didn't remember the games being in San Antonio... that is weird. I don't remember which drawer my socks are in half the time anymore. :) Thanks for pointing that out... makes the repeat a better story!

My son had Michigan St beating Auburn in his bracket. I picked Auburn to win but have regretted it since Auburn's first game. I have them picked to win it all and they just don't have that look about them. I can't believe they have survived this long.

My worst fear became a reality with Auburn losing to Florida. To have a chance in my family pool I had to have them win tonight and to defeat Duke in the finals. My son, who fell into last place opening day of the tourney is now in first place. He has Duke over Florida in the finals. Daughter has Houston over Auburn in the finals. My only chance is for Florida to win it all.... slim chance.

With my Daughter picking Houston defeating Duke and then winning it all. My son and I are done and she moved back into first place with no chance of losing. It's been a fun year for the three of us. It is rare that we all had a chance to win the pool until the results of the final four games. I didn't pick either team making the finals so I took third.

I'll be rooting for Houston. I think they are the better team and certainly the better coached. Florida has not impressed me and I was surprised to see them beat Auburn even though they didn't show up the way I thought they would in the tourney. I hope I haven't just jinxed Houston. My bracket reflects that I root for the losers. :)
