Neat ROM

Weirdest thing ever just happened....I'm on lsj(unofficial) and I had received a call, put phone down, bathed baby, came back to play on phone and everything was in negative mode... Took a few screen shots as some things looked kinda cool (not every day use cool though!)

Restarted phone and it cured the problem..... Thing is, my screen shots are all normal views and not negatives! That was the really weird thing!

you are probably on dori/siyah and pressed home key 4 times
 
I am on siyah, didn't realise this was a known problem.....like I say, was kinda cool, but never happened before :-\

Never checked it before but now i see it is there. And working. I was aware of it after pressing HBx4 but apart from cool look i don`t see much use for it tbh....

Never thought about this:o But i use dolphin browser + night mode add-on instead. Will try how your solution works tonight, cheers for info.
 
Great tip sflannery07! :) after browsing for few hours with this option turned on, it saved me much juice, I'm impressed and just wonder why didn't I thought about this earlier ;) Thanks!
 
Hey. Been a long time since I posted here. Been following the blog like a hawk though.
Anyways I recently switched over to paranoid android and switched back as well cause it was too buggy.
So I thought I'll go back to neatrom lite v4.0 i.e. XXLSJ. It flashed fine and I rebooted and everything was Ok. I then used the kernel wiper and tried to flash siyah v6.0beta 4 but it came installation aborted status 7. The exact error is
Finding update package…
Opening update package…
Installing update…
Error in /sdcard/Siyah-s2-v6.0b4-CWM.zip (Status 7)
Installation aborted
I redownloaded and tried again and it's still having the same problem. I can't flash any of the LSJ mods as well.
One more thing was when I first flashed LSJ and was opened titanium backup it said my android ID had changed and I needed to reset it. I was able to restore by apps without that though. I'm not sure if the two are related.
Any help given would be grateful. Thanks in advance.
 
I'm having an issue with the add on mods for Neatrom. Can't seem to fully remove them. I was messing with one for the status bar and in the end made it totally disappear. Caused the rom to become a tad unstable to. So I reflashed Neatrom, all OK. Problem is when I reflash the mods again the status bar disappears, so it has obviously left some settings behind somewhere. Tried doing a factory reset/wipe, wipe cache and Delvik cache too, but the corrupt mod is not removed. Any idea how I fully remove the mods so I can reinstall them again from fresh?
 
Yes. Flash Reloaded mod and u have "restore" option which removes all mods and bring back to stock look.

If you are interested in checking this mod flash once again to choose options for reloaded mod. it`s really good one,my fav :)
 
OK, I can't take the credit for this, I found the answer on another site. Not seen it on here so I thought I'd share. As many of you know, on the later Roms, if you go into gallery and view your pictures the auto-rotate function does not work. It simply activates an icon you can press to have the picture rotate.

If you (like me) prefer your pictures to auto rotate as you turn the phone then try this mod. It does work, just tried it on my phone.

If you go into System, then CSC, about half way down you will find a file called feature.xml. You need to edit a line in this file. About 3/4 of the way down there is a line that says autorotation>true<. Change the true to false and reboot. The rotate icon is now no longer active, instead your pictures will autorotate as they did before.

To edit, I found the easiest way was to use root explorer to copy the file to the SD card. I then accessed the file via the PC and notepad, altered the setting and resaved it. Then I used root explorer to copy the edited file back over the original. then reboot.

Thanks I have been looking for that, it worked by using smanager to go into xml and astro to edit, rebooted and works well thanks
 
@dkt87 if you flashed old lsj neatrom it comes with philz old kernel that had that bug. You could use mobile odin or pc odin to flash siyah directly or update philz kernel first

I tried a clean install of this new rom 2 times, wiped caches and fixed permissions, but the CWM app doesn't work for making backups. It seems to work in recovery mode but the app itself tell me that is has "unfortunately stopped" when I try to make backups.

Is this just me or is anyone else having this problem?
