Help Nee help with sounds and alerts

Hi,
I just upgraded to a unrooted Volt, from a rooted Prevail.

I use custom sounds for different alerts. Also hard of hearing so need to boost sound level.

On the prevail I used Sound Boost, and missed call alert, but they do not seem to work on the volt.

I need to have the alert repeat until I shut the alert off. Also need a fast way to kill the sound. Like on button, or one fast screen motion.

What works for you folks??

i think, but i remember that i would get really annoyed lol
