Need a Call and Text SMS Blocker

I've tried:
Mr Number
Call Blocker
Call Control

They all work great on the call blocking but my text messages still get delivered to Handcent regardless of turning on the block SMS setting.

Has anyone found an effect SMS Text blocker.

I want to leave my phone on at night but only allow message from family through in case of emergency.

Otherwise I am a very light sleeper and even the phone on vibrate wakes me up
 
Handcent has a blacklist feature that may work for you. I put those "You just won $500 gift certificate for walmart" texts in the blacklist and I haven't seen another since.
 
I don't want to blacklist though. I just want to block them while I'm asleep and then when I wake up and take the lift off then they would appear.

If I shut off my phone then I could miss an important family call but if I leave my phone on then my friends text me at bizarre crazy late times and screw me up.

Immediatly call back anyone that texts you at a "bizarre crazy late" time and chew em a new one... And then tell them to never do it again unless they feel like losing an arm! :D
 
Why dont you just open the sms app go into settings then notifications and uncheck ringtone and uncheck vibrate.?
 
If you don't mind paying $5/month you can get Verizon usage controls. I have this on my daughters iPhone. You can setup rules with the days and times that you allow messages and calls and you have an exception lists for family and whomever you want to be able to reach you 24/7.

This is a fine idea leroy I wonder if I'll remember to turn them back on :)

I really would like a software solution but this will do for now.
 
I just found an app that blocks unwanted calls and or text messages. High rating and previously updated.
