Help Need a new phone

Hey so I've got this Samsung Galaxy Nexus a few months back but I think I'll need to buy another phone. This phone is awesome don't get me wrong but I want something that is more dedicated to messaging and social media networks. The large 720p screen is very battery draining and unneccessary for what I'm using it for. I also can't feel the keys when I'm using it in class so I have to look at my phone, and the teacher catches me. Blackberries are perfect for this I guess because of their tactile keyboard but I still want an Android. I've seen the Samsung Galaxy Pro but that's a bit pricey (I know I have the GNEX) for just messaging. All BlackBerries seem to be

Just a thought, but have you considered the HTC Cha Cha? I know it won't be as good as your GNEX, but it has a blackberryish look to it, with the keyboard. It's on Android and I think you should also be able to pick on up pretty cheap?

I guess that's also an option. But I was looking for a phone which was more budget ended than that. The 5mp camera isn't really necessary because messaging/social media will be all its used for.

I've looked at that Alcatel phone and it looks too ugly to use lmao.. Galaxy Pro is nice but they still go for high prices.

Yeah I thought you considered that :) Thanks. I might get a non-smartphone then or BlackBerry and join the crazy BB gang at school

You can also change your keyboard settings on the Nexus so that the keyboard vibrates when you press the letters if that's what you mean. Otherwise, blackberry is your best option

Yeah I already have that one. Its not knowing when I press the keys but feeling the keys so that I know which one to press.

Or you could just pay attention in school and stop texting. ;)

Just sayin'

Does the ability to text during class warrant buying a new phone?

(for the record, in college, if I went to class, which I didn't a lot.... I didn't pay attention either.)

Well its always a desirable feature to be able to text without looking at a phone.

It's just because the topics they teach have small interest to me, just let me work at Google already :)
