Need a quick answer - New handset being sent tomorrow!

Hi! Been loving my phone since my initial cry over battery life (I can now get 30hrs plus out of it on a good run).

Recently though the handset has been defaulting to speaker phone whenever I make or receive calls which is SUPER annoying. I have deleted any sound related apps, still no difference. Googled it and people seem to have issue with the carmode, but I haven't had that come up.

So called Orange tonight and the dude did a diagnostic test (god knows what) and promptly told me I have a faulty handset and they are sending a replacement tomorrow evening?

Love the fast service, however I feel very attached to my handset now, and all my data is saved on there!!! He said I need to keep my SIM and battery.

I asked about my data and the reply I got was 'just copy and paste it'. Which I am doing.

But I am NOT confident about it?? Or sure how I 'paste' it back IN the phone again????????

I asked about my apps and he was again, pretty vague.... just saying I had a faulty handset and there wasn't much they could do....

Can someone advise me on how to 'copy and paste' everything (I have literally copied the entire phone onto my laptop).

And also, can I save apps to the SD card and remove it to put into the new handset???

Also - how do I ensure all PRIVATE info is removed from the phone?????

HALP!

Thankyums.

My phone ISN'T cluttered... I don't really use many apps to be honest!

I just worked out how to export my contacts to my SD card (no thanks to mr orange man).

I also found the factory reset button for before I hand it back... :(

Is there anyway to keep my paid apps (2, but one I use EVERY night - it's a sleep hypnosis lol)?

When I get the new handset do I just replace everything with the info I've copied??

Once you enter your google account info into the new phone it will automatically re download all your apps. I don't know how to keep the save files for your games. For your phone contacts you can sign into your google account online and see if all your contacts are saved there and if they are they should all be put back into your new phone when you sign into your google account on your phone just like your apps but to be safe you should export your contacts to your sd card and then copy and paste everything from your sd card onto your computer. I just make a folder on my comp called dhd and paste everything into that folder. When you get your new phone just format the sd card and then when you plug your phone into the comp mount it as a disk drive and copy everything you put into your folder on your comp and paste it back on the sd card.

On your phone goto Settings/SD & phone storage. Then click unmount sd card, and then format sd card.

Titanuim backup is the app you need, then after you have copied everything just store it on your sd card, get your new phone d/load Titanuim again then copy everything back again.... even you saves from angry birds! :D

Normally I'd recommend that too, but using it requires root, which isn't a great idea if you're about to send the phone back.

MyBackup Pro (the free trial) can save app data too, which I assume is the one you mentioned Dizzster.
