Root Need Advice - Back to Stock?

Hi All,

I have a Bionic that I recovered from a failed root attempt about 6 months ago. I can't remember now exactly what went wrong, but it was one of those root deals where you have to edit something like /etc/mount.sh or something .. I can't remember which file it was .. maybe fsmount or ext3.sh .. I can't remember. But the attempt failed, and I had an unbootable phone.

Some wonderful, kind soul pointed me to a thread with instructions on how to undo my mess, and even suggested a method that wouldn't remove my data. The procedure recommended failed about 2/3 of the way in, but lo and behold the phone seems to be working just fine. Been using it for 6 months with no issues. Occassionally I get some sort of message stating the "the phone is in an unknown state." But it doesn't freeze or hang up or require a reboot.

I would like to update to ICS, my wife got the OTA update a couple days ago.

Can anyone point me to an guide for re-flashing / fxz'ing or whatever back to stock or should I try and go straight to ICS?
