When I connected my stock Motorola Triumph to my computer, it also would not show up as a drive letter on the computer, but then I followed Ayered's work-around (second post in this thead): [usb-device-not-recognized]
Using AnyCut allowed me to make a shortcut to the "Select COM port mode" and I used that to help bring the USB connection alive. Worked nicely.
Yeah, I figured it was the data pins. I mean. I could see what they say about a replacement. Deductible and whatnot, and I'll have to flash a stock ROM again >_> But we'll see what they say tomorrow!
Edit: Hey here's a thought: If I can't connect USB...how can I put the stock Recovery image back on? Or just a flashed stock rom would suffice, you think?
Also, I did install Airdroid. Awesome. How did I not know about this sooner?

Lol I try to keep up on the "cutting edge" apps and I just stumbled on it a couple weeks ago

At first, I thought to myself "What a crock of...." then I pulled up my user guide, and sure enough it said it. I was like Wtf? A phone made in 2011 not compatible with windows 7? Not that it matters to me, I have it working again. But who knew?So funny thing. I emailed Virgin Mobile just to see what they would say on the issue, and I was surprised. They told me the phone isn't compatible with Windows 7, and is not guaranteed to work.At first, I thought to myself "What a crock of...." then I pulled up my user guide, and sure enough it said it.
