Well obviously I'm not using the snapdragon version, if you use the snapdragon version on the Galaxy S, Droid or Milestone the graphics will be messed up.

So make sure you download the right files for your phone!

Pretty much. What phone are you running the "beta" version on? It looks silky smooth on my Droid X (and just the same on my wife's Droid 2). I don't even like racing games, but I'm really tempted to go ahead and buy the full version of this one.

New update is in the Market, but there is no changelog. I emailed "EAMobile" and got an instant autoreply. Nice. So, I have no clue what has been updated.

Any EVO owners pull the trigger on the update yet? Is it safe for consumption?
 
Yeah, I do like the game quite a bit, but not so happy with EA. It's reappeared in the market but they must have uploaded it as a different application, because it's not showing on my downloaded apps and the market asks me to purchase it again. I shouldn't have to pay twice for something I legally bought, even if it is only
 
Drifting

Anyone any good at this? Obviously some cars will (or at least should be) better than others, but I just really suck at the drifting. I've only gotten two stars on the drifting course for Tier 1, the others I can only pull off one star. People who have had some success with this, what cars were you using, what device and what are some tricks to doing it?
 
i use my evo no problem...took some practice...basically you have to find the sweet spot to balance between oversteer and understeer..just keep playing with it and dont understeer too much
 
Well, lets try and be a bit more useful to them.

They already know and wrote in the description that it doesn't work on the Galaxy Tab (yet people with the tab still continue to buy it and give it 1 star ratings). It runs on the Evo fine, so lets make a constructive list and give that to them.

Works:
-HTC Epic 4G
-HTC Evo 4G
-HTC Droid Pro
-HTC MyTouch 4G

Problems running:
-HTC Droid Incredible
-HTC Droid X

Doesn't Work:
-HTC Aria
-HTC MyTouch 3G
-Samsung Captivate
-Samsung Galaxy S
-Samsung Galaxy Tab
-Samsung Intercept
 
Beautiful game. I absolutely recommend it. The only downside is that it takes up a LOT of space. But still, it's great. The graphics are good, the gameplay is awesome and the sounds... wow. :)

I used the RX-8 for all the drifting races! works awesome! I also used the bumper view, seems to help me know here I am in the drift. The key is to keep tilting the screen left and right to maintain the drift. I sucked at first too, now I can get 225+ on any track with no effort!

My reason for posting was to get help with mastering all corners in all 28 events. I seem to be missing 1 corner. It is shown after the finish line for the 2-5 Sprint race. It seems to be corner #1 from the beginning of the race, which has a check mark when I start the race. I cannot seem to find it in any other race, or get it there. Any help and/or advice would be great.
 
since EA deicded to pull NFS shift again, i dont have the game any more. :( never got the hang of drifting though
 
I am a big time fan of NFS games and NFS Shift is one of my all time favorites. I am planning to purchase one NFS game for my HTC Android phone. Can you suggest me what is suitable for me? i have HTC Touch Pro. It's cool and i like to play on this.

Need for Speed: Shift is the only NFS game available for Android phones, so...there's your option.
 
Just updated today and now I can't race it appears. Anybody update? Anybody else seeing this issue?

I can select the car, the track and the level or race. It then seems to WANT to start but eventually I wind up back at the home screen.

Update: a day or so later, I tried a Quick Race and that worked. Went back to regular racing and they now work. NO idea what happened in the mean time.
 
i installed it on my 2.3 gingerbread...........it is nt working.........only the white ea logo screen comes..nd den it automatically closes .....PLS HELP...........!!
 
What device are you using?

Also, for those with an EVO 3D, it may interest you to get the S3D version by going to www.eamobile.com on your phones browser. I haven't tried it so I wouldn't know what it looks like or how it runs. I'd be interested in hearing from someone that does though.
