Help Need help accessing sd card via usb

I just got a Samsung Exhibit II 4G with Android OS. I cannot transfer files such as ringtones and music to the sd card in the phone while connected to my pc (Vista 32-bit) via usb. I finally found drivers and got them installed. Then ran Zerg rush root so that the pc would recognize them. USB debugging is on. I come up with 2 new drives - finally! - but when I double click it says "Please insert a disk in drive 'x'" What am I doing wrong? Please help!

you must tell the phone to connect using usb storage. hit menu button bottom left while connecte with usb cord to PC, then touch notifications, touch usb connected, then "connect usb storage"

I'm having the exact same problem as the first poster but I tried your solution and it still wont show up. Any more ideas?
