Help Need help adding a temple university email account to my phone!

I cannot for the life of me get this Temple University email on this phone. I hate to compare to the iPhone but it was a straight forward process.

How do I get this email account on here?

Go to the mail app and follow the wizard. If this is a POP account, the you will need the pop and smtp addresses, login name and password. That is it.

Are you having specific issues?

If you are using an actual temple.edu email address, there is an Internet record for this domain.

temple.edu MX preference = 0, mail exchanger = smtp-in.temple.edu

University email is likely exchange. Are you trying to configure as pop or something?

Its an email like this: username@temple.edu

What I did with my .edu email was go into my settings in my email on my pc and forward my emails to my Gmail account. That allowed me to get my email in push format.

If you don't care about getting your email pushed and don't mind another email using the battery, the easiest thing to do is contact your computer aid department for assistance.

I tried that and it works like a charm... Its a shame I can't get the email on here direct though... I even called Sprint *2 and they said call the school's IT dept...

so call the school's it dept. Sprint doesn't have your school's email settings.

FYI, though i know this thread is old, go to Temples email setup page and follow the instructions for Thunderbird 2. the settings are the same, and you will have temple as its own account on your android!
