Root Need help after overclocked optimus v!

I was expirementing with overclocking and i think i set it up to 864MHz. I thought of just trying it once but i forgot to check off set after reboot. Now everytime i booted it would reboot again because it would freeze. I though using fix permissions would help to i rebooted from recovery and tried it. It was fixing permissions and my battery died. I was about 5 min into it when it died. Is it supposed to take that long?
I tried rebooting and kept getting all of these force closes but managed to fix the overclocking issue. Now what do i do to fix this? Do i fix permissions and let it finish? How long should it last before it finishes?
Im on cyanogenmod 7.2 i think.

Give us a little more info. Stock ROM-custom Overclocking kernel (which kernel) or
Custom ROM (which one).
It looks like you would be better off just going back into the recovery and wiping cache partition and then going into the advanced section and wiping dalvik cache.
Then mounts and storage section and format:
boot
cache
data
system
Then going back to the "install zip from sd card" option and install the custom ROM (and Gapps if needed) or:
Go to the backup and restore option and restore your backup if your on the stock ROM and re-install the overclocking kernel after a couple of reboots of the restored stock ROM.

I had the same issue when I was running an ICS ROM. They do not like overclocking. I booted into recovery and did a clean reinstall.

And like I said, the ICS ROMS do not like to be overclocked. They still have a lot of pep even at 600 MHz anyway. For the GB ROMs, try to up the processor in small increments. Or just keep it below 800. You'll still get adequate speed and it won't eat your battery. I'm currently running a GB ROM clocked in the 740 range.

ParanoidAndroid has allowed me to overclock to 408MHz min-768MHz max (this is where my best battery life is usually at). It has also allowed me to use Nova launcher with no hiccups yet.
I have this on my spare V (I use it to test out ROM's and such), and so far the battery life seems to have been dramatically improved over previous ICS ROM's.

Because I have it on the Spare V, I don't really know what the Data, sms, and mms are like, but the rest seems like a daily driver to me. I have to let there be something for other members to checkout, right?

I've been running Quattrimus beta 2 with the same settings I always used on BACKside, smarta$$v2@480/806. I haven't had a single issue. Then again though, my processor is notorious for running stable at higher speeds than the average OV.

I forgot, duh! My spare V also has one of those rare perfect processors. I guess I should have tried it on my "Not So Good Processor" V before posting.
