Help Need help and advice with emails on Android

limejeff

Lurker
i need some help with emails. i am holding on to Motorola Milestone and was able to check my emails (corporate/yahoo) previously, either over wireless or 3G. however, i'm not sure what i did (or what i've installed) which i cannot get any emails over 3G. i am always getting errors "Unable to open connection to server" and i confirm that i cannot retrieve yahoo mailers too

my phone is on Android 2.1 and i've also installed Juice Defender. any help/advice will be greatly appreciated!

Let's move this thread to the Milestone forums, limejeff.. here you'll probably get more ideas posted about this issue.

sitlet, what's a battery pull? you mean remove the battery from the phone?

Szadzik, even with 3G off, i think i should be able to download stuff using 2G. i think i'll have to check with the service provider. thanks all!

Yes that is what sitlet means. I doubt it will work but it is a easy test to eliminate! I suggest resetting the phone if that dont work then try removing all apps and checking to see if that works. Did you install anything recently in the time the email stopped working? If all else fails you can flash to the original sbf and install the email settings again. I would only try that after all else fails because you will be wiping the slate clean ;)
