Need help choosing a tablet...

Most of the tablets I've looked at have 8GB-16GB storage and an SD card slot. I'm torn between the Galaxy Tab 3 (8GB), Hisense Sero 7 Pro (8GB), Asus Memo Pad HD 7 (16GB), and the Nexus 7 (16GB). My budget is around $200 (preferably less).

I want the Galaxy Tab because my girlfriend has the Galaxy S4 phone, and I like the TouchWiz interface and Samsung apps, but the device has only 8GB storage.

The Hisense Sero 7 Pro is a great value at $130, but it's from an off-brand manufacturer, so who knows how well it will be supported.

The Asus Memo Pad HD 7 has been getting great reviews, but there have been some issues with lagginess and an unresponsive touchscreen.

So which tablet would you recommend out of the ones I described?

I have had the iPad 2, the Asus Transformer 101, Lenovo 7 Ideatab, Motorola Xoom FE
And me newest toy is my Le Pan II, and to tell you my thoughts, my Le Pan II out preforms all of them for what I do...I don't play games...but do nearly everything else, it also has a built in GPS, so I use Nav free USA... Works very well

I would get the Nexus 7. It beats the Galaxy Tab 3 by a lot.
And if you really liked Touchwiz that much, I'm sure there's a ROM on XDA for a touchwiz-like look/feel.

If we're talking the new Nexus 7, that's head and shoulders above the rest of the competition. The only reason to choose the Galaxy or MemoPad over it is if you need more storage than it can give you (since it has no microSD slot) and you don't want to carry an adapter for a flash drive. The only Android tablet in the same size range as the Nexus 7 that can go up against it in terms of specs is the Note 8.0, and it costs I think twice as much. IMO it's an easy answer.

Well I like the Touchwiz interface and the S-apps on my girlfriend's Galaxy S4, so I'd like a tablet with a similar UI. Then again, I'd rather not pay $200 for an 8GB tablet, so the Asus Memo Pad HD (16GB $149) is a good choice as well.

That Hisense Sero 7 Pro (8GB $129) is sold out at Walmart, so it's clearly popular.

The Galaxy Tab has only a 1.5Ghz dual core processor. Basically it's got half as much power as the S4 based on specs. So don't assume it's going to run as smooth on all apps. Plus, it being a mid-range device, it's going to have less S-features and apps. I'd suggest you look into GSMArena's review of it.

EDIT: And personally, I'd stay away from HiSense. It's sold out coz it's cheap. But doesn't mean it has the same quality as the more mainstream brands.

What about the Asus Memo Pad HD 7? It has a quad-core processor and an IPS screen.

True. I'd rather have as much internal storage as possible for apps and games. The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 only has 8GB storage, and the Asus Memo Pad HD has 16GB storage.

I've been interested in the new Nexus 7 also, but I don't want to pay over $200 for a 7" tablet.

Honestly, you get what you pay for. Getting any of the cheaper priced devices would put you behind the Nexus in terms of performance, and IMO the MemoPad is a bit underwhelming when you get to use it in real life. Have a play at it at a store if you can find one. The screen and chipset is where they went with. The rest of the device feels cheap.

One one note, a Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 wifi only sells for something around exactly $200 in my country. The bigger screen and better specs will make it a better choice than the 7 inch Tab 3, plus having more S-apps.

I live in America, and the Tab 3 8.0 costs $300 here. That's overpriced in my opinion.

The Asus Memo Pad HD 7 may feel cheap, but at least the screen and processor are good. Also, as long as the tablet runs things without crashing, not having the latest specs isn't a problem for me.

I'm looking for a 10" tablet that has decent specs for under $250. I'm torn between the Asus Memo Pad Smart 10 and the Lenovo IdeaTab S6000. The cheapest price I found for the Asus tablet is $235 at Walmart, while the Lenovo tablet costs $240 at most stores.

Which one would you recommend?

I can't give you specifics but what I do when looking for any new gear/gadgets is use the Device name/number and the word,"Review" into a google search and or the same in Amazon and then read user's reviews. After reading a few you can get a decent idea of any limitations or if it's suitable for your needs.
I did that before buying this little Lenovo Notebook.Does the job but Lenovo(IBM) and Asus are decent brands.
:)
