Root need help creating partition

i have htc desire with Cyangenmod 7.1.0 desire .

i wont update to the latest one as its buggy and i am happy with what i have .

now i want to clear space and i believe i need to create a partition .
and then install s2e .

and that will allow me to move the dvarik (not sure if that right ) file to the sd card .

so can i get a step by step guide on how to create the partition cause when i installed s2e without doing so all the options were greyed out .

I've no idea what s2e is, but, you don't create a partition. Unless s2e specifically says, though that sounds weird, anyway, you generally just change the partition size, though when you do that you don't need to use the sd for anything other than storage.

I think you shouldn't mess with partitions yet until you know exactly what's going on.

When you are ready make sure you do a Nandroid because once you change the partition you'll need to restore that Nandroid because the data will be somewhat corrupt and probably not work.
Also, to change partitions you need to know what sizes you need, I think Cryogen is CM7R2 but don't quote me because it will vary with each rom.

The first Page of the rom usually shows the requirements.


Don't do it until you know exactly what needs to be done.

S2E (simple to ext) is cyanogenmods app for moving apps to sd ext partition. You need to format your sd card with a partition first.
