ok so i had the 2.1 leak on my phone, just recently i read the thread universal rooting on eris for dummies i did that now i wanna install a new rom on my phone how can i do that?

In a nutshell, download clockwork Rom manger, install from SD.

kool thanks so alli have to do is download the rom put it on the root of my sd n open up rom manager n click on install from sd?

Download a ROM of your choice, and then put it in your android-sdk/tools section. After all that is done, (btw, you should have the android-sdk on the root of your C: drive). You must plug your phone into your computer, don't mount the SD card, keep it charging and enable USB debugging (in applications>development)

Enter this:

cd C:\android-sdk-windows\tools
and then
adb push ROMname.zip /sdcard (exactly as it's spelled and its case sensitive) for example....

adb push DroidDoes1.1.zip /sdcard
It should take awhile because roms are huge files, just wait for it to go.

Then power off your phone, reboot back into recovery (End button and Vol. UP). Then click flash zip from sdcard, select your ROM and wait for it to install everything, reboot and your set.
