Root need help important

This is the tutorial that I followed. It mentions an extra step that I don't see in the process you linked to.

[HOW-TO] Manually deodex your phone.

3.) Run option 1. After option 1 is done, run option 2.
4.) Now these well take a while. Run option 3.
5.) IMPORTANT: After you have run option 3, you MUST navigate to the xUltimate folder and find "origi_frame" folder, and delete "guava.odex". It's a bad file, and interferes with deodexing process.
6.) Now run option 4, and wait.
I recommend just using these steps and this tutorial, instead of the one you were using before. It worked great for me and a few others that I've talked to.

Tell us details about your device and current situation. What software version do you have? What method did you use to root your device? etc.

Go through the general steps you followed to get to software version 2.3.15. Where were you before that? Before that?

For example, I was on OTA 2.1 rooted. I wiped everything, upgraded straight to the OTA 2.3.15 update, rooted via D2 method, then manually deodexed. That's where I'm at right now.

EDIT: Nevermind. I looked through the thread that you linked to. There was apparently another user with the same problem as you.

Try reinstalling Java and redoing the procedure.
