need help in making a decision.....iphone4 or thunderbolt

Been contemplating making that same move. Did you buy your I4 at Best Buy or from VZW? I know they both have restocking fees but I'm not sure how much BB charges.

BB doesn't have restocking fees. I bought I4 form there wednesday and took it back thursday to get an incredible while i wait for the TB to come out.

So here's the deal i am curretly eligible for an early upgrade and i currently own the motorola droid. The reason why im looking into upgrading my phone is that the right side of the screen on my droid does not work, my speakers does not work well, my warranty is also up, and also my battery dies within 5-6 hours. What i'm looking for in a phone are the capablities to: text moderately, at least a full day of use, youtube every now and then, have my emails pushed to my phone

You need to decide yourself. Do reseach. Neither the thunderbolt or iphone will give you a full 24 hours of battery life even with moderate use. If you want that get a blackberry. They have great battery life. I have settled for one and am loving it.

Again you need to decide for yourself.

I had an OD for about a year and I am on the second week with a iPhone4. I must admit the build quality is superb. The os and ui are well thought out, smooth... mature. The display is gorgeous and very sharp. There a a lot of apps and many more free than I expected. With that said I miss two things: talk to text and the navigation. If the TB comes out on or before the 15th I will get it. If not I will have to really think about it... keep the iPhone till June (next upgrade date for one of my lines) or get the DX. I hope that helps.

Oh the battery is not bad at all. I can go a full day of moderate to heavy use without a recharge on the iPhone4

what are you going to do when the iPhone 5 comes out in a few months with possibility of LTE?

I am not too worried. I will be using my free buyback to get the new iphone 5. IF thunderbolt comes out before 30 days are up I will exchanging it, if not i will be getting the iphone 5 or the bionic.

I really didn't wanna get an iphone but after all the delays I got tired and told myself I will just try out the iphone and so far I have to admit this thing is really good at what it does. I know I am one of those guys who hates apple approach to things but they do make a good product and there is no doubt about that. I think Its possible to hate a company and not their products. I just got an imac and boy this thing is beautiful. I got a good deal on it.

Don't blame you bro. If it wasn't for the discount i get at work, i would have gotten an iphone as well. And don't expect an iphone with 4g this year. Not happening. It's not a bad phone. I think you'll enjoy it. I just need a bigger screen.

Thank You,I found it very helpful. It's just that i went to a verizon store and i told a rep about what i would want in a phone and i told her what phones i was looking at and she looked at me, laughed and said you know android phones don't hold charge very long with moderate use.

One of my concerns is the iPhone's screen size. I like the iPhone, but I can barely type on the virtual keyboard o my OD, and it's .2" bigger! If I'm giving up the security of a physical keyboard I want to be able to type as fast on a virtual keyboard. (this is why I'm considering the Inc S or 2 or the HTC Merge), otherwise, the repeated delayed release on the Tbolt has turned me away. Sorry, but VZW screwed that one up BIG time

And right now they will tell you anything to get you to buy one.
I get 2 days on a Droid X with the stock battery, so I call BS right off.

I also use it heavily... it's my primary means of communicating for work and yes it gets push emails.....

But since you want an iPhone, and your asking on an Android forum, go get one and be merry.

Wow, so it looks like the apple/verizon contract thing is doing its job. So many ANDROID FORUM members just giving in and buying the I4. This is crazy!
Am I the only one that laughs every time the sales guys try to sell the iphone? I am beginning to feel like I am.

well to be honest i'm not giving in to an iphone, because if i was i would already possess an iphone and find no need to post this thread. I posted this thread for some honest opinion in making this decision based on what i'd mostly need it for, because i've had my OD for a year and about 6 months, 2nd replacement and it's the same thing that has happened to my first droid that is happening to my current one. My battery life on a full charge is around 6-8 hours, so i'm seeking a phone with the needs i posted alongside the battery life to go from about 7:30 a.m.- about 10:30 p.m., by all means if the thunderbolt can last that long on a full charge, when that phone comes out i'd walk in a verizon throw my OD right on the desk shattering it and demand the TB immediately
