Root Need Help Installing MIUI on the EVO

[zeux6]

Thank God for nandroid. I have been trying to install MIUI but everytime I do, I get the error 7 message. Is there something I am not doing right? Could anyone here post how you installed this great looking ROM in step to step instructions? I am currently on the latest Fresh and using the latest Fresh kernel. Thanks a bunch.

(Sorry that I accidently posted this in the wrong group earlier. I tried to delete it but I couldn't.)

Did you do a complete wipe before trying to flash it? Have you tried downloading the .zip file again in case that you got a bad download?

I did a complete wipe. I will try to download the zip file again and see what happens. You could be right about that.

You're welcome. Sometimes it takes another "set of eyes" so to speak to help find the problem.

Yes...you are right about that one. It's usually the simplest bit of reasoning that gets the correct answers. No matter how brilliant we are, sometimes the most simplest solution is the best and correct one.

It is easy to over think technical problems sometimes......I am an Automotive tech and it happens alot trying to diagnose performance problems. Always best to start with the basics.
